ok so hear me out, this is my opinion & you are allowed to agree or disagree with it but do not come at me with the “izuocha canon ship” bs. what i choose to believe or not won’t change the actual series plot.

i think in the starting of bnha, uraraka and deku had this sort of—-

teenage first crush on each other. which is pretty normal. for deku it was after so many years a person his age decided to talk to him and be nice with him. he is also very socially awkward around girls because he hasn’t interacted a lot with them growing up. so it‘s normal ———

for him to develop this sort of crush/admiration on the first person that was nice to him in years. just like that for uraraka he was someone that saved her life when she needed help, it’s pretty normal to admire and sort of develop a crush on someone after that. ———

but i think as time passed away and with the recent manga chapters, that feeling of crush seems more like an admiration and mutual respect for each other rather than it being romantic. it seems like deku and uraraka want to bring out the best out of each other. ———

their admiration just feels a lot more platonic to me at this point. since they both have goals to pursue and romance isn’t an actual pursuit that development wasn’t properly ever made. to me they honestly have a way better relationship as best friends but that’s just my opinion.
