I& #39;m tired of this narrative lately, where if you are asking for equality, it means you just want things to be given to you just because you& #39;re POC. No! Wanting to be treated equally means your merits will be equally recognized, no matter what color/race you-
are. When pointing out lack of diversity, it doesn& #39;t mean "put whoever as long as they are ___". It means you can find people who are just as qualified, but from other groups! I say this, having had the experience of being more qualified & getting paid half than what my less-
qualified co-worker was getting... I& #39;m a woman and he& #39;s a man. Catch my drift? (He was not okay with this and fought it.) But this is my point. Someone& #39;s race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, and age shouldn& #39;t even be an issue. What they bring to the table is what should-
matter. And you demanding that, doesn& #39;t make you a victim or entitled!

You don& #39;t have to experience it to see the difference. And if you get to choose to look away and pretend its not a problem, you are in a very privileged position to be able to do so.
