How about a Care Bears reboot where they help young adults and millennials deal with feelings of depression, disillusionment, and cynicism
it starts off seeming like it’s a cynical parody of the source material, cause all these real-ass adults are really confused and annoyed by these super sincere, happy-go-lucky cartoon bears
then shit gets too real and they have to learn what it actually means to be happy again
then shit gets too real and they have to learn what it actually means to be happy again
“it’s okay to care.”
everyone’s walled off their emotions with barriers of apathy and nihilism, to protect themselves from having to experience pain and disappointment
it’s the care bears’ job to tear down those walls
it’s the care bears’ job to tear down those walls
And they fight a legion of shadowy Heartless-like demons called “The Ennui” that feed off of humans’ negative and toxic emotions
