Is cutting up a popular, public sporting centre which serves the health and wellbeing of thousands of residents, of all ages, genders and backgrounds the most pressing issue?

1. Facts? The campaign image says a lot. Yeh, more green space for everyone seems great! But just zoom out and take a look at the existing parklands excluded from this image: (2/8)
Parks, stadiums, sports fields, athletics track, a racecourse... Plus dedicated space for equestrian, cycling, soccer, netball, walking, dogs, picnics, trees and wildlife. Fortunately for residents, there is plenty of green, open space! (3/8)
2. Diversity, inclusion and accessibility? Golf is truly a game for all, inclusive of gender, age, fitness level and physical ability. How many sports are suitable for young and old to play together, with an equitable handicap system, even from a motorised cart! (4/8)
3. Progressive? Sure, golf traditionally had a bad rep as a sport for white, wealthy, men. But today? Moore Park Golf is representative of what you would expect to see at any public, inner Sydney institution. (5/8)
People of all stripes playing and practising, having a hit for the first time or playing in weekly competitions, friends meeting after work, hosting a birthday party or even couples on a date having a hit at the range. (6/8)
4. Representation? Golf is an increasingly popular and growing game and 2020 has seen some of the highest ever participation rates for golf courses in NSW. As Sydney's premier public course, Moore Park is certainly no exception with incredibly high tee time utilisation! (7/8)
Sydney-siders are embracing the game and love the opportunities that Moore Park Golf, a fantastic, 18 hole, local public golf course provides. It's unclear why Clover Moore wants to take it away from them.

Let's keep Moore Park! 🏌️⛳️ (8/8)
