I attended the BELC 2020 agm and numerous board members were up in arms about the team moving (this was the first they’d heard of it), yet now they claim that they’re not contesting the move.

So if I get this straight the board is now claiming they voted yes to the transfer without having seen the offer of sale?

Furthermore members of the BELC have directly told me that there’s no way they would have approved the sale had they seen the deal.

Are we at the point where the BELC members are perfectly fine with the team moving to Owen sound?

As the coach of this team and a lifetime excelsior and life member I am struggling to understand how the BELC could think that this was the best and only deal to persue?

I know many many people in Brampton who would have been interested in buying this team and turning it around. @ronsplace2006 being one, but also many others who have been involved with BE for years. Makes me wonder why no one in Brampton was informed that the team was for sale.

To me the Brampton Excelsiors are worth more than $1500. 150 year legacy that my family and I are proud to be a part of for 45 years. #wearealllifemembers

I understand the difficulty in running this team in Brampton, I’ve been through the ups and downs and memorial isn’t as packed as it once was, but with the RIGHT people involved I am sure we could have got the support & funds needed to run this team.

Especially with the up and coming amazing young product from our @BramptonJrA club.

The BELC has stated the team was transfered NOT sold for $1500, but interestingly myself and the other coach have been told by someone involved with the Major Excels that a $75K cheque exchanged hands... this raises some questions, if true.

I would ask that the BELC honestly state whether they feel this deal was the absolute best deal they could have found. @BELacrosseClub. Feel free to reply @dawgbone98
