Quick search on Google - The MBBS from JSS medical college , Mysore - just about 12 seats for Merit & 188 seats for capitation fees... the total fees is estimated to be 88+ lakhs.. out-of-reach for brilliantt students, but dumb-rich kids get to become "allopathic" doctors. https://twitter.com/raghurajs_hegde/status/1330393035159572484
True - All Ayurvedix medicines are natural substances, herbs and roots - hence complex compounds.. not single molecules like in Allopathic medicines.

Ayurvedic medicines have not gone through Clinical-trials Phase-1 to 4.
Clinical trials are difficult to design as it is difficult to know which specific molecule cures the disease.. the whole process is not set-up and settled as yet...we hope Ayush ministry finds a way establish a scientific process to prove "efficacy" of Ayurvedic medicines
True - while Dabur and Patanjali have been around for a while, the manufacturing processes involved are also not completely set, definitely not to the standards demanded by FDA.

So if traces of lead and arsenic appear in drugs, we do not know where they are being introduced
Yet - Ayurveda is not be blamed. Ayurveda had zero support for over 1000 years of Islamic & British rule. The methods, medicines, and knowledge barely survived. Even after independence, successive left-Cong Govts looked down upon all traditional Hindu knowledge as pseudo science
What about the Western Medicine our Dr. Hegde is raving about? The whole concept of EBM is about 30 years old. Even now, diagnosis is at best a calculated guess based on available evidence.

The Adverse events reported on large scale, side-effects & drug reactions etc..?
There are over 400+ allopathic drugs which hv bn withdrawn because of Adverse events and drug reactions.
Am sure the "plastic surgeon" at Manipal hospital knows the English doctor who performed the first-ever Plastic surgery - Joseph Carpue spent 20 years in India studying the local plastic surgery methods..

Yet "Ayurveda" is a pseudo science - that needs to be scoffed at?
Finally-Ayurveda is very effective for treating common cold to indigestion that common man suffers fm, while costing a "small fraction" of what Manipal hosp doctors charge for "5 mins" of their time.
