There are tons of different investing strategies out there

Where& #39;s the best place to put your money?

(THREAD)
It is a fairly well-known fact that keeping your money in the market is an exponentially more beneficial place to store your money than a bank account

Most bank accounts are good for security, but the returns will only be around 1% return/year

That doesnt even outpace inflation
Option #2: Invest your money in the stock market

"How do I know where to put it?"

There are a few different strategies to take when investing. You can focus on one, or even combine a few

I& #39;ll cover a few below
Strategy #1: Long term investing

Take a comfortable percentage of your income and buy long term growth stocks.

My favorite are Index Funds

Each basically takes the average of a group of well performing stocks

These will return about 10% ANNUALLY

$VOO
$SPY
$FLINX
$SWPPX
Strategy #2: Dividend investing

A dividend is a payment you receive back from a company JUST FOR OWNING/HOLDING THEIR STOCK

"A reward to investors for putting their money into the venture" (*Investopedia)

You are literally receiving money out of thin air

$NHI
$IBM
$HD
$PFG
Strategy #3: Swing/Option Trading

This is a method of high-risk high-reward in the market

You are buying stocks and essentially gambling whether they will go up or down short term instead of holding them long term

If you do it with no emotions, you can get a very high return
I go over an easy swing trading strategy here https://twitter.com/Corey_JNS/status/1329867069073010690">https://twitter.com/Corey_JNS...
Strategy #4 a: Retirement accounts

A Roth IRA allows you to pull your money out when you turn 59 without being taxed on the withdrawal

6k/yr max investment (changes)

Common strategy:

75% US stocks (indx funds)
15% International stocks
10% Bonds

Flip bonds & stocks as you age
Strategy #4 b: Retirement accounts

A 401k is a retirement account offered by corporate employers

It allows you deposit a portion of your paycheck into an investment plan before taxes

A company usually matches your contribution up to about 3%, so that& #39;s free money!
There are many places to invest your money

Moral of the story is you wont get any return if you don& #39;t actually DO IT

Why wait on free money?

Be patient, minimize losses, leave emotions out/use logic, and you can increase your income each year with ease!
