why circles my mac miller deserved album of the year instead of changes by mustin: a thread

1. it was released posthumously and is a continuation of swimming, nominated in 2018.

2. he’s a lyrical genius and doesn’t have a team of writers, he usually co produces as well

3. the instrumentals sound humbled and not forced, more of an acoustic and natural sound to them

4. this song is near perfect. lyrics 10/10, this at least deserved best rap melodic.

5. the depth that this song has, some of my favorite lyrics in a song ever tbh. plus the ari vocals in the back

6. the lyrics and instruments have depth to them, mac is actually singing about his struggles in his songs and some songs on this album feel more like poetry than a catchy song. you can really hear his growth in this album, his previous album was almost like a bridge into this-

album. swimming blended rap and acoustics so well and this album does the same but better in my opinion.
