The agonising we& #39;ve done about why girls don& #39;t keep up sport in their teenage years.

When you remember that they are told in FIRST YEAR that their bodies are & #39;distracting& #39; and need to be hidden while exercising, it& #39;s not that fucking hard to figure out, is it?
This school, after all of our policies about sports participation and @20x20_ie, has decided that what a girl *looks* like when she is playing sport is worthy of attention, rule-making and punishment. I am so mad.
But I am also so heartened by the response of the girls themselves, their male friends in their school and their parents. Look, that is a sign of things changing. Just not quickly enough.
Also, please, if you ever come into my timeline again when I& #39;m talking about women& #39;s sport to say that girls and boys are treated the exact same now that it& #39;s 2020. You& #39;ll be directed to this thread and told to get in the sea.
Related issue: kinda besides the point but also enraging. It& #39;s almost impossible to buy good value sports clothes in mainstream stores that aren& #39;t tight fitting right now.
