Proud Boys will be returning to the Capitol in Sacramento this Saturday, 11/28. The last three weeks, @SacPolice and @CHP_Valley have allowed them to act with impunity while they assaulted members of the community.
The maximum legal size for self-defense spray in California is 2.5oz. Yet police have allowed PBs to openly carry bear mace in excess of this amount, which is legally classified as a pesticide. On 11/14, PBs crossed police lines to assault and bear-mace counter-demonstrators.
Gloves with hardened knuckles are illegal in California under PEN 21710, but police have allowed Proud Boys to wear them without consequence. Proud Boys in photos 1 and 4 used these gloves in the beatings that occurred in Cesar Chavez park 11/21.
PBs have used other weapons as well. This PB broke his flagpole while using it as a weapon in the CC park beating 11/21.
Despite their claims of respect for "Law and order" and Police authority, Proud Boys dismantled police barricades in order to cross the police cordon on 11/21. On 11/14, they crossed police lines to beat and bear mace protesters that police had separated from the pro-trump event.

The Proud Boys are an extremist hate group. When they are given preferential treatment and allowed to perpetrate violence with impunity, they are emboldened and legitimized. This is why they instigate the way they do. Because they know they are shielded from consequences.
Proud Boys and other attendees have harassed, threatened, and assaulted the unhoused, members of the press, activists, and people who are simply downtown to shop or dine. This is not a problem that will disappear by being ignored.
When Proud Boys have come to Sacramento, they have removed the license plates from their vehicles. They have brought illegal weapons and when they have assaulted members of the community, @SacPolice and @CHP_Valley have tacitly condoned this activity by turning a blind eye.
@Mayor_Steinberg This is the city you are charged with protecting. I remember your statements when protesters marched in anger over black killings in August. Why have you been silent on repeated attacks by a hate group in your own city?
