Would anyone be interested in a way-too-long thread where I read Ready Player Two and we talk about whatever the heck is actually going on in there, or are we all content just dunking on the extremely bad passages going around?

I might just turn this into an essay at some point. Ready Player One has this really weird place in The Discourse that has shifted wildly over time and I have a lot of things to say about it.

I think someone could have written an extremely interesting book about a closeted trans girl who tried to build an entire personality around 80s geek nostalgia and her life just kind of spirals until self-acceptance and she realizes that, oh, no, there's a person underneath that.
