This will be a small thread, and my last take on the whole 'gatekeeping/difficulty' thing.

Life is full of competitions. Some are made to have winners and loser, some are made for all to just enjoy with no recognition. In Destiny, raids are activities meant to be enjoyed by-
everyone, what game developer wouldn't want the largest activity in the game they make to be playable by all? That said, when we want to make efforts to recognize the accomplishments of the truly skilled, we have to recognize that it means others will fail that fall short.-
Sometimes those others are ourselves; and that's okay. I never went flawless in D1 and never saw the original lighthouse. It didn't feel great, but I understood that to get there I had to have the skill to make it there. Bungie's competition mode allows for worlds first racers-
To compete and show their skill without making the activity itself beyond the reach of most players. If you went for worlds first, and missed it, it sucks, but hopefully you'll get it next time. Don't attach an emblem related to an entirely different triumph to the raid race.
