The couple lives in Wilrijk on Boomsesteenweg and has been pretending to be supporters of the Iranian opposition for several years. Amir has lived in our country since 2003 and is a former dock worker and warehouse keeper.

The couple is on their way via the A12 to a mass meeting of the Iranian opposition, in Villepinte, near Paris. Where some 15,000 opponents of the Iranian regime will gather. US President Donald Trump's personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, will also be there.

3 days later,"Daniel"is stopped by German security service when he stops at a motorway restaurant just past Frankfurt. It turns out to be Iranian diplomat Assadollah Assadi.

A "wealth of evidence" is found in Assadi's rented red Ford S-MAX. "It looked like Ali Babba's cave," said one involved.
Including a notebook with instructions in Persian on how to use the bomb. "Playstation 4" is the code word for bomb.

Text messages also show that the three often consulted via code language. In recent years, the Belgian-Iranian couple has each made more than 100,000 euros in cash deposits into accounts. Money whose origin they cannot prove.

From their travel history and statements by one of the suspects, it appears that the three met each other often and regularly in different places in Europe, including Vienna, Salzburg, Munich, Milan, Venice and in the Iranian capital Tehran.

Assadi travels a lot to Iran as a "diplomat" is not abnormal. What is striking is frequency that increases before planned attack & last very short trips. Investigators assume on the basis of a statement, among other things then went to pick up bomb in Tehran.

Researchers discover that a year before, in 2017, Assadi already rented a car in France. He does that just before the mass rally of the Iranian opposition in 2017. A year before the foiled attack in 2018.

The GPS of the French rental car can be read by the researchers. It appears that in 2017 Assadi already explored the room in Villepinte where the annual meetings take place. The GPS shows that he also drives to the hotel where the VIP guests stay every year.

Nasimeh repeatedly travels back to Iran.
Nasimeh is recognized as an Iranian refugee in 2010. Still, between 2010 and 2018, she will travel back to Iran 13 times, often even with an Iranian business visa. No stamps from those trips are found in her passport.

In home of Nasimeh & Amir 35,000 euros in cash is found. Research shows that between 2011 & 2018, 106,496 euros in cash was deposited into Nasimeh's account.

A fourth Belgian man, A.M., was also arrested in file. He also posed as a supporter of the Iranian opposition. He was present in hall, but remained at the side exit all time, despite asking to help with organization. "He was acting strangely," said a witness.

The conclusion of our State Security is clear. "The three worked together to carry out an attack against the Iranian opposition. It is not an individual action, but it was directed from Iran."

The conclusions of the investigation and State Security are very far-reaching for Iran. It means that State Security concludes that Iran attempted to bomb a hall with 15,000 opponents of the regime near Paris

The consequences of bombing in France in 2018 could have been unseen.Meeting included dozens of international VIPs, including President Trump's personal attorney Rudy Giuliani, Colombian former presidential candidate & FARC prisoner Ingrid Betancourt.
The trial in Antwerp begins Friday and will be watched with suspicion from Washington, Tel Aviv, Paris and various European capitals. If it comes to a conviction, Iran will be exposed internationally. #IWasATarget
