Key Business Tips #7: Mass Customization and Streaming!

You might think life is tough as a new streamer (and you'd be right), but you have one massive advantage over large streamers. You can provide value to your viewers that large streamers NEVER could. Let's get into it!
Let's take a look at one of my favourite Vtubers of all time, Amelia WWWWaaatson of HoloLiveEN! Amelia is funny, she's kind, she has excellent banter with the chat, and I love watching her for those reasons.
However, given she has tens of thousands of viewers every stream, it is absolutely impossible for her to respond to every single chat message. You'd have to actually pay money for her to (eventually) read your message, much less respond to you directly.
As a small streamer, you have the benefit of Mass Customization - which means you can actually engage and have a conversation with your chat audience. You'd think this is obvious, but it shockingly isn't. I've been to so many streams where the chat is ignored for minutes on end.
One part of why people watch streams as opposed to watching YouTube videos is because they want to engage with the streamer. They want to feel like they're part of a conversation. As a new streamer, speak to (and appreciate) every single chat message you get.
I purposefully avoid large streams these days because I know I won't be able to have a conversation with the streamer if there's too many chatters. I'm personally looking for a social experience, and I'm sure there are thousands more like me.
This is, of course, just anecdotal evidence! What are your major streaming tips for newcomers, interns? Let's hear em!
