hi, here's a cool little thread about why pansexual and bisexual are NOT the same thing:

pansexuality is: a sexual, romantic, or emotional attraction to people (regardless of their sex or gender identity)

bisexual is: romantic and sexual attraction towards both or all genders
this means:

pansexual people can be attracted to cisgender, transgender, gender nonbinary, genderfluid, and agender people, they are also sometimes referred to as "gender-blind." meaning, gender and sex are not determining factors in attraction to others.
this does NOT mean:

pansexual people cannot have preferences, or that they like every single person.

it simply means, they like you for your personality, and who you are as a person.

genitals or agab do not typically matter much.
bisexuality, though similar to pansexuality, is not the same. bisexual people can and do have gender preferences (also called a lean) but this does not mean that they aren't still bisexual.
bisexuality is characterized by the attraction to "both males and females or to other genders" meaning that they can be romantically or sexually attracted to any gender orientation, and sometimes agab does matter.
both sexualities are valid and extremely common, so the erasure isn't cute. you don't have to agree with me, or this thread, but this is what i know. have a good day <3
