So with moving, my family keeps bringing up the question, "You gonna get a car?"
1. It just shows how the mind of so many Americans is tied to having a car and thinking there is no other way.(Partially because our country has made it this way.)
A thread/rant

2. I am moving to Downtown Cleveland. If I don& #39;t have a car now living in Parma. Why would I get one in what is the transit hub of the area?
3. I& #39;ve been without a car for 4 years now. At least for me it& #39;s been very liberating not having to care for something I barely used.

4. Also with my lifestyle, especially now. I don& #39;t get out much. So actually spending thousands of dollars on something I barely use is actually bad financially.
When I do go out, I enjoy the walking, its a great form of exercise and it forces me to do it. I HATE TREADMILLS!

5. I am lucky enough to live in a city with decent enough public transportation that I can get everywhere I need to when I do have to go somewhere. If I didn& #39;t, it would be a different situation. Even though I did live in a small town for quite awhile without a car and I was fine
Now I& #39;m not knocking anyone who has to have a car. There are plenty of situations, especially in this country it is a necessity. I& #39;m just tired of the way people think of people who don& #39;t have a car. It& #39;s not like I couldn& #39;t afford one. I just rather spend my money elsewhere.
I also like not polluting unnecessarily. I could get a hybrid or EV but for now it still would be a waste. One day maybe, I& #39;ll have to but there is no point right now for me personally.
