The biggest problem in this Arsenal side is the lack of creativity with players like Szoboszlai and Aouar being the targets to fill that void. However, with Guendouzi out of favour, Ceballos and possibly Xhaka leaving in the summer, Partey will need a new midfield partner.

Soumaré's contract runs out in the summer of 2022, meaning he will have 1 year left on his deal this summer, so he would cost around 15-25m. He is still only 21. He would settle in well with many French speaking players like Auba, Pepe Gabriel and Saliba.

Compared to the rest of our midfielders, Soumaré's stats are quite inferior, however, he is a young prospect and will learn a lot from Mikel Arteta and Thomas Partey. One thing he excels in, is passing. He had a passing accuracy of 89.8%, more than any one else in our midfield.

His good passing success rate would allow us to play out from the back well, and he is much more mobile than the likes of Xhaka and Ceballos, which would make him more combative in the midfield and averages 3.7 long balls per90 this season, compared to 1.9 last season.

He would bring more mobility and defensive coverage in the midfield and would allow whoever the attacking midfielder is more freedom to go forward. At just 21 years old and costing 20m he can only get better. It would be an easy deal to do due to our good relationship with Lille.
