90's Bollywood loved Dr. Alban's 1992 dance hit "It's My Life". Why shouldn't they, it is built for the clubs.
It was sampled in no less than three tracks, two of those sounding for the most part like a cover rather than an original song.

It surprises me that these producers chose to sample "It's My Life", claim it to be original work (I'm assuming) even though it heavily featured in two Bollywood films (two that I know of). It was featured in Baazigar and Suhaag.
Baazigar at least was a big hit, everyone would've made the connection.
The entire sum of knowledge of all contributors on WhoSampled tell us that only eight songs have sampled "It's My Life". Eight that we know of. Three of them are from Bollywood, and there's also a fourth, which is a cover of "Meri Marzi".
So clearly Bollywood has had an interest in this song that hasn't been witnessed anywhere else. I said eight in the previous tweet but it says seven on the site, because my king Bally Sagoo also sampled it, but that submission is pending approval. End of thread.
