On the ridiculous praise of the UK Parliament for exposing Gowon an their complicity

I really don't have power or time to make a long thread and I intend to make this explanation as simple as possible. I will use a movie scene that you might be familiar with to make things lucid
DESIGNATE SURVIVOR

This is the first that comes to mind. I want to use lay terms rather than make go academic. It would be long. Somewhere in Season 1, some American expatriates were captured in an African nation.
The President not wanting to negotiate with terrorists sought the advice of the Ex-President who advised him against using force as he already had a reputation of being a good guy - rational. What did he advise him to do? Follow me carefully
The African leader had some stolen money hidden in another country and a past US President had placed a sanction on it making it impossible for the holding country to release the money to the African leader.
The Ex-President advised - lift the sanction, the leader gets his money an you get your people. That was exactly what he did - easy peasy.

International relations is about power and the world powers act, they don't react.
Now, when I say US/UK are complicit, it is obvious they don't care. They turn a blind eye while monitoring whatever you do. When they nee something from you - a vote, an action, commitment to a cause - they use their knowledge to either negotiate, blackmail or destroy you. POWER
Like I wondered in the series, how many US Presidents were aware of the theft, you should wonder how many UK government officials are aware of Gowon's thefts of over 40 years.
Why are they informing you in 2020? If you still think it is because they like you, I might have to leave movie an go full mode International Relations to explain but I'm not in the mood

I hope this explanation helps. @okaykaykurlynz can help with that. Whatever he says, believe
