Since this is a rare moment when @EvaAlton decided to speak her mind publically and tell us some important things, I’ll pitch in.
After you read her thread, you will understand why I love her books. Yes, I’m someone who likes crazy-doing characters, but https://twitter.com/evaalton/status/1331163354233270272">https://twitter.com/evaalton/...

I also would never leave a bad review for a book because the character isn’t like that. I love her books because I’ve been abused for 14 years and counting by my stupid fuck husband and I question my worth every second of every day while I ponder if
anyone would miss me if I was dead. I’ve never read a character before that I could connect with like I did with Alba, which is why I am such a huge fan of Stray Witch. I may be more of a badass, bite back type, but internally I’m just a pathetic girl
who doesn’t know where she fits in on this earth and if her life will ever amount to anything. So yes, some characters are normal, because some people are mundane/normal, but even that is complex and unless you fully understand the mechanics behind why
someone is the way they are, you are in no position to judge. I know why people blast Eva’s MC. Because women are expected to be independent, not needing men to make them feel complete and they are supposed to be fighting for their feminist rights with
nails and teeth. I’m not that. I need a guy to be happy and I am not ashamed of it and I will never apologize for being this way. I am an independent person, but for me to feel valid, happy and complete, I need a guy to love me. Sometimes I have no idea what
I’m doing, sometimes I fuck up everything, and sometimes I just need a fuckin hug because I’m so miserable that I have no words for it. We are all human and all different and if you cannot understand how abused characters come to life in books,
you are lucky and privilidged. You are welcome to dislike the ‘weak female lead’ type and only want those strong ass bitches who use men as tools and act like they need no one and are happy to sleep alone at night. But you’ve no right to judge the other side
