no nuance november (kpop edition) - a thread [qrt with your opinions on them !!]
i mean no harm to anyone i state in this thread, these are my opinions !!
Sm Entertainment genuinely does not care about international fans because of the amount of cultural appropriation they've done and the fact that they won't address it either.
We need more Southeast Asian and South Asian idols in the industry however that probably won't happen because most of us (Southeast Asian and South Asian peeps), don't fit in the Korean Beauty Standard.
I don't wanna see any pure white folks in the kpop industry.
Fuck the colorism in the kpop industry.
As a fan, we really do not know our idols personally so we don't know if they're really a good person or if it's all an act and that's what scares me.
Everyone knew produce was rigged. I don't know why it took up until now for it to be investigated.
Since we're talking about produce, I really hope that they won't release the list of the trainees that were rigged into the final line-up to the public. They are victims as well and do not deserve that kind of humiliation.
Replay >> any other debut song
A song does not have to have meaningful lyrics for it to be inspirational or uplifting like if lalalalala nostalgia brings me joy, so what about it?
People needs to stop shipping idols romantically. It can actually ruin their relationship with each other, and it's weird as hell.
Queerbaiting is a real issue in kpop.
Intermission đŸ€—
People need to stop guilt tripping other fans to be streaming and voting 24/7; we got lives outside of kpop too. However, if you're gonna benefit out of other fans streaming/voting and say that you streamed/voted too when you really didn't .... get out.
Include a photocard with any kind of merch, and you got me placing an order; come on companies, do this!
What's up with the clapped group names? The beautiful meaning to it isn't gonna matter when someone hears their name for the first time 😭
People love to say they love cute concepts or any kind of concept in kpop, but won't actually stan groups that have been doing it.
Stray Kids are just on a whole another level. I really wanna see them get really big in the future.
You can still stan your faves while holding them accountable for their actions. However if they've been constantly repeating their actions and have yet to apologize, then consider dropping them.
I would never want to be an idol, considering the tough process they go through. I wouldn't risk my mental health for it honestly. I have so much respect for idols.
I can really see Stayc get big in the future, their debut is really cool!
Drippin really holds the record of having the highest debut chart on Genie and 3rd on the Oricon chart, yet Woollim refuses to promote them properly. Companies really need to do a good job on promoting their groups while they're still rookies.
I'm done for now, but I might add later 🙈
