OneNote notetaking tips n tricks thread🌸
OneNote is one of the applications of Microsoft Office 365. However, it doesn't need product key to be activated. You just need an Outlook account and you're good to go.
Here's the whole window of OneNote. You can see sections where you can put your notes and you can color code those. Pardon me for having messy sections in my notebook heheh.
You can start taking notes by adding a page then a blank page will appear.
Here's an example of my notes.

Since most of my classes are offline. I basically arrange the concepts that are discussed in the modules and have my own interpretation of the given concepts. I arranged my notes by column so I can easily read them when I have to review.
In arranging, I grouped the main topic and its subtopics. Let's take for example, Nervous system and its divisions. There are a lot of divisions of nervous system so each of them are separated by columns.
Highlight, color coding and organization are the must for OneNote so you won't get overwhelmed with how texty it is by the time you need to review your notes.
You can move the text box if you need it to be placed somewhere. Just click this one and drag it to the desired place.
Moreover, you can click it once and change the font style in this text box
Make use of the shapes when you need to divide your page.

(see example)
Fonts make the difference!

The main title should have the biggest font in order for you differentiate it from the contents.

Size 12 for content is decent already.
Applying some basic instructions of outline can help~

numbers, dashes and bullets would be your best friends when using OneNote.
Utilizing the tags ⚡️

I haven't tried this one since I am more on recalling the concepts through reading but this would be a great help when you need to be reminded so use those tags~
Make use of Bold, Italic and underline.

They can serve as codes depending on how you can recall the concepts from your lessons.

I make us of Bold when it's an important term

italic for concept explanation

italic and underline for important concept.
Font color and typographical emphasis combo!!

I recently tried this one and ngl this duo is a superb~
