Coman was born on 13 June 1996 in Paris, France. He started his career in the year 2002 at an early age of six with the football club US SĂ©nart-Moissy. He spent two years there under the guidance of his father.
Paris Saint Germain :
Coman was scouted by PSG from his time at Sénart-Moissy, and he joined its youth acaemy at the age of 8. After spending 9 years in the academy, Coman made his professional debut for PSG on 17 February 2013 against Sochaux, in a 3–2 defeat.
Coman is the youngest player to play for PSG at the age of 16 years, eight months and four days.
His debut season for PSG went goalless, playing just 3 games or the first team. At the end of 2013/14 season, he had already won 4 domestic trophies with PSG, at the age of just 18!
Coman joined Juventus in 2014, scored his first professional goal in the last 16 of the Coppa Italia, against Hellas Verona in a 6–1 win. Coman played his first champions league final with Juventus in 2015, against Barcelona which they lost 3-1 , where he appeared as a substitute
Coman stood 2nd for the golden boy rankings in 2015, only behind Anthony Martial of Manchester United.
Coman joined Bayern in 2015 on a two year loan deal, netting 4 goals in 23 appearances in his debut season. In the 2016/17 season, he scored just 2 in 23 appearances in all comps.
In April 2017 that Bayern planned to sign the winger on a permanent deal. "He has the talent and the potential to do great things," Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge – himself a highly effective attacker in his own playing days – said of the Frenchman.
Thomas Muller tipped him for big things in 2017.
“We know that Kingsley has extraordinary skills that are rare to find "If he puts his foot down on the gas – and he has incredible horsepower – every opponent has a tough time against him. He worked the left flank well."
"He has a very bright future ahead of him," Heynckes said of his gifted winger in February 2018. "He's a guarantee of success in future years. Perhaps he'll become a real leading player."
The 17/18 season went pretty good or Coman , scoring 7 goals and assisting 8 times in 32 appearances. He faced an ankle injury in February 2018 , for which he had to miss out on his 2018 WC campaign with France, otherwise he could have won that as well.
Back in December 2018, when Coman was just 22 years old, he announced that he was considering retiring from football if his ankle injuries persisted.
“ I won’t accept another operation. Enough is enough. Maybe my foot is not meant for it. I will go live another anonymous life”
Coman started his 2018/19 campaign with a goal in the DFL supercup, in a 5-0 win over Frankfurt.
Unfortunately, he again tore his ankle ligament in August, that kept him out for another 3 months.
"His absence affected us a lot," Bayern boss Niko Kovac said in January 2019.
Coman scored six league goals in the second half of the campaign as Bayern edged past Dortmund in the league table and he won his 4th successive Bundesliga title.
The 2019/20 campaign proved to be the most successful for Coman. Under Hansi Flick, he became an undisputed starter for the team as he won the treble with Bayern, including a header in the Champions league final vs PSG , that was enough for him to gift us our 6th European trophy
At the age of 24, Coman now has a total of 22 professional trophies with PSG, Juventus and Bayern that also includes a treble. A 2 time UCL finalist. In his club career, he averages a trophy every 9.65 games 🤯
In his career, Coman has played with big stars alongside him in every club he played, Ibrahimovic at PSG, Pogba and Pirlo at Juventus, Robben, Ribery, Thomas Muller, Lewandowski at Bayern.
He also had the guidance of world class coaches, Ancelotti , Pep Guardiola, Jupp Heynckes, Hansi Flick , etc...and Didier Deschamps ain the national team. It just adds something more special to his star studded career.
Kingsley Coman is not known for his great goal scoring charts but for his ability to dribble past defenders, sending dangerous crosses in the box, and also to help his team progress up the field.
He is definitely a big game player, his best performances last season were in limited games vs Dortmund, chelsea and most importantly in the final vs PSG. This season too, he recorded a brace vs Atletico in the UCL. A player that always steps up for his team whenever needed.
Despite being such a talented player with an extraordinary career so far, Coman is very underappreciated by football fans ; especially non Bayern fans.
This was merely an appreciation thread for our Mr.Lisbon, I would absolutely love the support from my fellow mutuals , esp. from my King Coman fans @ComanProdigy , @TaistoFCB
