Jesus was NOT a socio-political reformer or revolutionary.

He made this thing extremely clear.

Jesus came to save man. He came to fix spirits and hearts.

And the Apostles were faithful to this.

This is why you didn't see them try to overturn existing political paradigms.
John 18:36
Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.”

Luke 12:14
He said, “Man, who made Me a judge or an arbitrator over you?
John 6:15
Therefore when Jesus perceived that they were about to come and take Him by force to make Him king, He departed again to the mountain by Himself alone.

Jesus was painstakingly clear on this.

Fellas, I didn't come to deal with your paltry politics! Leave me out!
It takes good people to make good societies.

It's foolishness to try to fix a society when the people have wrong values or are incapable of living by good values.

Jesus is wise. And He came to give us the right values and give us a new life by which we can live in Godly values.
Slavery was an integral part of the Roman Empire. To fight slavery was to fight Rome.

Do you really expect Jesus to have embroiled himself in protests over politics?

He just said God is His father and the Jews found a way to turn it to an accusation of treason against Rome.
Think! If you know anything about Jesus, think!

Did you want Jesus to start a group to protest the existing order; Which would lead to an insurrection; Which would lead to the Roman army squashing them.

So they would say Jesus died for what?

Politics?

Don't be a clown.
If he did that, how would that stop slavery, a system that happens across all cultures in every corner of the world?

What He did was he killed the root of slavery.

He was the one that showed the world that He died for ALL. That all men are one in Him.

There's no partition.
And guess what?

He did end slavery.

First among christians, Jesus' values killed slavery. Read the book of philemon.

And as centuries passed and Christianity covered the earth, christians abolished slavery.

Yes there were christians who dealt in slavery but they had to...
... Redact whole portions of the new testament.

The books they gave slaves had pages torn out that without ambiguity elevated the value of slaves to the same as their masters, making slavery an atrocity against God's image.

The books did more than that.

It reduced slavers...
..To the level of the slaves whom they thought they were superior to, clarifying that dehumanising people is first dehumanising yourself.

Jesus did that. He fixed this broken people.

And the whole world has inherited those values of "human rights".

He fixed the root issue.
Jesus made human rights possible and then fashionable.

Yeah. You're welcome.

This was no small feat as humans have NEVER believed in the intrinsic and equal value of ALL men.

If not for Jesus, if you're from Iléṣà, the Ọọ̀ni would have sacrificed you to Obatala or something
So Jesus didn't do social revolution as you want.

No.

He did something much more important and eternal.

He did something that laid the foundation upon which your social justice is built.

If you doubt me, go to China or Iran Saudi Arabia to fight for social justice.
End.

For now.
