losing a job in college admissions really sucked but it’s great to not have to cajole children to physically endanger themselves and their loved ones for education. honestly, trying to convince them it was safe was lowkey evil

i had a parent email me not realizing i no longer work there and his daughter moved here to try and do hybrid learning/in person (which we cancelled) and he told me she is now on a ventilator and won’t be going to school any time soon

literally got calls from parents and kids crying and begging for financial help/extensions on deposits because they lost their jobs and had to say no over and over i swear to god to do jobs like this you have to be a little bit dead inside

anyways now at the height of the pandemic i get to work in a job where i have to interact with hundreds of people a day lol hope this works out for me! what’s the worst that could happen besides me dying or killing someone
