I frequently get messages by women runners who aspire to run solo on how to be safe while running alone. I have made a compilation of precautions women can take to make their respective runs safer and enjoyable. Below in the thread are the top few things I personally follow:

For eg. if I am going to a new place and I am running on a road and I don&
#39;t see anyone for more than 3-4 minutes, I try change the route immediately.

While running at these odd hours, I generally have a pocket knife/ Swiss knife or mirchi powder handy. If you have a portable pepper spray and know how to use it with a strong reflex action then why not!

I always share my location when I go running. Someone (either family or a friend) is aware of my route for sure.
