#TarunGogoi in her first two terms brought a complete overhaul of the rotten system that he inherited from the past governments. Apart from pulling Assam out from the era of violence, he was instrumental in bringing drastic changes in the way how GoA worked.

If you have lived in the 90s, you know what the road infrastructure was like. There was probably no highway without potholes. Anyone who had to travel would come back and say, "Aei raasta bor beya" or "Last or seat tut bohi kokal bixai gol". This changed to a large extent.

The transport system was non existent. There would be no inter-city bus after 3 or 4 pm except for the long route night services. People from small towns would know the bus with their names because they were so few. He along with Anjan Dutta brought ASTC out of its coffin.

Electricity. Assam in the 90s and earlier, did not have a electrical system with load shedding in between; but a load shedding system which provided electricity now and then. Compare that to the situation now!

Assam would remember #TarunGogoi as the person who did actually bring in changes to the lives of people.
