Just think about this: how is it that God’s prejudices *exactly* match your own? Could it be that you’re projecting your own values on an unknowable, incomprehensible almighty? And if that was possible, is it even a little tiny bit possible that you might have misunderstood God?

Every religious person I’ve ever known has told me it is impossible for humans to understand God - so assuming such a being exists, what unspeakable arrogance must one harbour to claim to not only understand but then insist on anything as the will of the almighty.

And what if, in response to changing conditions like the explosion in human population since the King James Bible, God has change their mind and is now ok with people finding companionship without necessarily having children?
