This may ruffle feathers in Pakistan & Israel but the political DNA of both countries share some striking similarities:

1. A traumatic event serves as a catalyst for state& #39;s creation but particularly defines ID of one group (e.g., Holocaust & Askhenazim, partition & Mohajirs).
2. A partnership with a significantly larger power that is largely defined by a common threat perception but portrayed as an all-weather friendship.

3. The adoption of a new lingua franca that few people spoke before the inception of the new state.
4. Obviously the scale of Israel& #39;s displacement of Palestinians is far larger than displaced groups in Pakistan but the latter still exists.

Many other differences exist but the similarities are interesting.
