The #ManOfSteel award is made up of votes per game so other than counting its not based on stats but rather expert opinions collected together.

But if it was:

Paul made 604 tackles only Farrel from the shortlist has more.

Paul made 8 Assists compared to French's 7

Paul made 108 Marker tackles only Farrel has more.

Paul made 32 attacking kicks highest in the Cas colours (only Sezer and Coote are higher from the shortlist).

Paul's avg carry gain is 9.53m every carry - no one in the shortlist is close

Runs from DH only 2 players in the whole comp have more, no one on the shortlist comes close.

French made the most errors in the comp, Paul isn't in the top 20

Only Coote made more 40/20s

Although it's not about stats, if it was @mcshane_paul would be very much in play.
