We're still running into issues with Ohio's reported case data that is muddying up the count. There is now a backlog of 15,000 antigen positives that are awaiting verification. In addition, today's case count includes 3-days worth of cases from Cleveland Clinic & Mercy Health...

Dr. Robert Wyllie at the Cleveland Clinic stated that 970 HCWs are unable to work right now due to COVID quarantines. That's a problem around the state right now that I generally can't quantify. There's plenty of bed capacity, but staffing shortages are a big concern
Some hospitals are now restricting elective surgeries that require a hospital stay as well. That's the last thing they want to do. Just because they're called "elective" doesn't mean they're not critical. It also represents revenue the hospitals have to forego
Those comments are from a special Monday DeWine time presser today & I missed most of it. @GeoffWSYX6 has a good thread up hitting the highlights https://twitter.com/GeoffWSYX6/status/1330948573563858945?s=20
The presser featured doctors from Ohio's hospitals. Clearly the level of concern from them has gone up relative to a month ago
