In this thread is like to give my guess/theory on why I think draxum wants to be the one to save the yokai the most out if all yokai we've seen In the show

While the answer may seem obvious at first I think it may go deeper than the obvious answer to it all

In the episode how to make enimies and bend people to your will it's revealed that draxum doesn't like to wait for things to come and he'd rather take action
This obviously

Could be reason hes the one who took actions to save the yokai

But what if it goes deeper than just that what if it relates to draxums childhood and his relationship with his parents (assuming he does have parents)

What if the reason draxum wanted to create warrior mutants

Wasn't just to protect the yokai but also because he wanted a family of his own because as a child he never felt loved and accepted by his own family nor others around him

So,etching I've noticed in every flash back we get of draxum at the battle nexus he is always alone no one

Else is around him

This to me shows that draxum never really had friends in the hidden city and shows that he wasn't accepted by others as well

Also draxum has fake armor too

I believe the reason he has fake armor too is because he himself also doesn't accept himself for who he is either so to hide his "imperfections" he wears that fake armor
In fact his imperfections may be that he doesn't have horns on his body

Which may explain why others saw him as flawed because it seems like he was an underdeveloped sheep yokai causing others to fear him because of his differences
Possibly even causing his parents to kick him out and abandon him as well it may have been embarrassing for them to

Have an underdeveloped yokai child plus his parents may also have not liked the idea of him being a warrior and a scientist either

In the episode end game we see draxum get really angry with the council of heads when one of the heads says something about draxums warrior alchemy

Ways causing draxum to storm out and leave that may have triggered something from his childhood causing him to b even more angry and motivated to prove his ways aren't wrong and that he can save his people and be loved by everyone for his warrior alchemy ways

This may explain why draxum gets so happy when he sees the turtles not only is he happy to see they're alive and just as great as had hoped but he also sees a chance to get his plan to work and get a family out of it too

Also if draxum wasn't accepted by his family this would cause him to releate to recruit I already have a strong feeling she wasn't accepted by her family either because of her rough approach of changing the world

So this would definitely be something these two characters could

Realate to

And if all draxum truly wanted was a family love and acceptance in his life then thus would make him and splinter relate to each other alot too because splinter always wanted love acceptance and a family to make him feel better about himself too

This explains why draxum is the happiest hes ever been in the show not only did he achieve his goal of saving the yokai but he also got a family out of all of it too and he is accepted not only amongst his family but also from the humans too
