I find the whole scenario with Tenet and theaters reopening to be very fascinating, like how a pushed effort to save cinemas might have actually just made them a whole lot worse.
I’m sure big chains like AMC and Cinemark would be pushing to open ASAP regardless, but the fact is that AMC delayed their wide scale reopening date several times to coincide with the delays of Tenet. It was their first big release and what was supposed to bring theaters back
(I started drafting up 9 more tweets for this thread before I realized I might just have to channel this into a piece or something, unless people really wanna see a 12+ tweet thread about movie theaters)
