Just got a COVID test and some guy in a black pickup truck drove by and screamed at those of us in line, saying the virus is a hoax

Happy day one of lockdown!!

(I’m fine, have a light cough, trying to be vigilant, self isolating aside from my walk to the test centre)

Update: yikes, good thing I got a test.

Symptoms still mild, everyone has been contacted, I have no idea how I got it. My circle is very limited and I’m really rigorous with masking and distancing! Please take this seriously, folks!

My contact tracer tells me the virus is rampant in Toronto right now and a lot of people are getting it from necessary outings like the grocery store. So, there’s that

A more fun update: I’m at a City of Toronto COVID isolation hotel, as I have an immunocompromised roommate and it’s best I’m nowhere near them! I’m so happy this is an option, and that I was able to get a room in a matter of hours
