As the cries in the AB media continue to grow for @jkenney to lockdown AB because of ever-growing Covid-19 case counts, so does my frustration.

When will those of us favouring a balanced approach get our air time?

How many in the AB media have reported the following?
Masks are far less effective than we’d hoped.

“There is no good evidence that facemasks protect the public against infection with respiratory viruses, including COVID‐19."

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/artic... href=" https://www.acpjournals.org/doi/10.7326/M20-6817">https://www.acpjournals.org/doi/10.73...
Even pro-mask advocates can& #39;t provide unequivocal support for the use of masks.

"Depending on the pandemic situation in a given geographical setting, the desirable consequences of wearing a facemask may or may not outweigh the undesirable consequences." https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7398656/">https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/artic...
Seasonal respiratory viruses follow well-known annual patterns. We are experiencing precisely what was expected.

“The seasonal cycle of respiratory viral diseases has been widely recognized for thousands of years..." https://www.annualreviews.org/doi/10.1146/annurev-virology-012420-022445">https://www.annualreviews.org/doi/10.11...
Re-infections are *extremely* rare. In fact, far too rare to influence public policy.

Out of over 55 million documented Covid-19 cases worldwide, there are only 26 confirmed re-infections or 1 of every 2.1 million cases. https://bnonews.com/index.php/2020/08/covid-19-reinfection-tracker/">https://bnonews.com/index.php...
Where’s the public health advice from our government officials on optimizing immune system function?

“Millions of elderly and vulnerable will get free Vitamin D from government as evidence grows that it helps in battle against Covid-19.” https://mol.im/a/8925321 ">https://mol.im/a/8925321...
And then there& #39;s the impact of stress (cortisol) on immune system function:

“As a result of my work in parliament and in a parliamentary group, I have become aware that the people in our country are being deliberately deprived of information on the corona crisis which is of crucial importance for assessing the situation.” https://lockdownsceptics.org/the-future-shape-of-things/">https://lockdownsceptics.org/the-futur...
RE health care capacity:

AB had ample opportunity to partner with private industry to solve ICU capacity problems. It’s not difficult to guess who might oppose this arrangement.

This was the correct strategy in the spring. It is still.

And the sooner the better.
PCR testing is irremediably flawed. The tests are too sensitive (ct = 37-45) and produce many false positives.

You simply CANNOT base public health policy on data you know to be inaccurate.
