Ok so I had a Dream that ace attorney investigations 3 was real and it took place during the 7 year gap. Phoenix comes to Germany with Miles for whatever reason and he falls asleep on Miles' couch. If you examine, it you get this dialogue-

Miles: (His hair looks so soft, I wonder if I should touch it.)
Miles: *almost reaches out* (Gah! What am I doing?!, I should control myself!)

The next scene is Miles telling Trucy to go to bed. It's a cutscene. She's jumping up and down on her bed and Miles is looking at her with a fond smile. He tucks her in but she suddenly still and says "Mr.Edgeworth, can I ask you something?"

Miles kisses her forehead and says "Of course, you can."
Trucy: Can I call you Uncle Miles? Pretty please?
Miles looks shocked for a moment but then he smiles and says "I'd be honored"

Another scene take place in another when Nick and Trucy are in the states. Miles gets a phonecall from Trucy.
Trucy: Hello Mr.Edgeworth!
Miles: (Mr.Edgeworth? Gavin must be nearby. I should respond that way)
Miles: Hello, Ms.Wright. How are you?

Then later on, When Miles is talking to Phoenix over the phone, This convo happens.
Miles: So I came to know Gavin's been hanging around you more lately.
Nick: Yeah, he has been.
Miles: Wright-
Nick: No, Edgeworth. I can't.

Miles: Please. Please let me help you.
Nick: Edgeworth.....
Miles: (Let me help you, Phoenix. Let me protect you.)
Miles: (You saved me. Now let me save you.)
Miles: I will always stand by you. Always.
Nick: I know, Miles. I know.
