When I first came to @SyracuseU - it was an extremely difficult time in my life. My mom had passed away just three months before the start of my freshmen year. I’m thankful for so many in the SU and CNY community that looked out for me, encouraged me, and gave me opportunities.
The @WAERSports family - @jblee883, Cora, Chris Bolt let me go places and do things I never thought possible. Thank you. As a freshman - I was in awe of @AndrewCatalon @DAonCBS and @CarterCBS - they were so good even then! I looked up to then AND still do now
The first time I set foot in a press box was to do stats for @DavePasch. I was a terrible statistician but he was patient. Dwight Freeney sacked Michael Vick 4x... against VT’s OT - who happened to be from my HS.
I’m thankful for the guidance of professors like @ProfNich @ProfHB Dean Rubin, Tina Press, Doc Mason.

@MattPark1 and @DaveRyno12 taught my sportscasting classes. Learned so much from them. They’ve become friends and mentors over the years. Thank you!
Thank you to @Manchild_Show (Jim Lerch) who gave me my first job in the business while I was still in school. More importantly, he gave me a ton of life and job advice. His door was always open.
Somehow @BrentAxeMedia was cool with a dumb college kid co-piloting the Friday Sports Connection (RIP!) with him. Brent was so good to me on that show and I appreciate all of his support over the years. CNY is lucky to have his voice.
... and finally thank you @SteveInfantiNC9. I interned for Steve in college and then he hired me some years later to be a sports reporter. A few months into the job, ESPN came calling. Steve could not have been more supportive. That means the world to this day. Appreciate you!
