Similarly, Indian astronomy (Jyōtisha) needs to digest the experimental knowledge from quantum physics in order to grow and be a suitable challenger to the western science of physics, which is bolstering the western calendar.

Very few people understand the hidden assumptions in sciences, stemming from culture or religion (like the Bible). They favor a specific type of scientific method, which then pretends to be universal and "secular", nothing to do with religion. :) So much for "universal" science.
