I do not understand why folks aren't laser focused on blaming the lack of federal pandemic relief on Mitch McConnell. Because house democrats have put forward relief bills that haven't been brought to vote because of the fucking GOP controlled Senate. Specifically McConnell.

I get it. Shitting on both parties, especially the Democrats, is what counts for good political analysis these days. But holy fucking shit the fault of our suffering could not fall any further on Mitch McConnell. Because it is ALL HIM.

Seriously. EVERYONE needs to be repeating this. THE LACK OF FEDERAL RELIEF IS BECAUSE OF THE GOP CONTROLLED SENATE. IT'S ALWAYS BEEN BECAUSE OF THEM. ESPECIALLY MITCH FUCKING MCCONNELL! The Dems have been trying to get relief to people for months! Since day 1!

I swear, I feel like I'm losing my mind every time anyone talks about the lack of federal relief in vague terms. Because we know why there's no relief. We know who's at fault. And they're not even hiding it! It's just that no one is pressing them on this.

Mitch wants absolute liability protection for businesses who's customers and workers get sick/die of covid. That's absolutely fucking insane but he won't approve of any bill that doesn't come with that.

REPEAT AFTER ME FOLKS:

WE WILL NOT GET ANY PANDEMIC RELIEF UNDER A GOP CONTROLLED SENATE

The GOP was even against increased unemployment benefits and even the first round of stimulus checks. They've been against all of that to this day! How has that been so hard to articulate?

So this is blowing up. I'll end it with this:
The democrats suck in a lot of ways for a whole lot of reasons. But let's not be stupid here. The lack of pandemic relief falls squarely on the GOP. It's not even comparable as to who is more at fault here.

Addendum:
The GOP during the Obama years literally ran on obstructing Obama in every way that they could. Hell, their 2020 platform was literally to be pro-Trump, and anti-Democrat. That's it. So again, expect nothing but obstruction and lack of pandemic relief from them.
