Just being transparent {A Thread }

So for about a month now I’ve been finding it hard to study the Bible, pray, watch sermons & read books; I fell off bad. Before, I would have seen this as a point to question my salvation but since coming to the truth of the Gospel..

I know that my salvation isn’t based on what I do but in what Christ done

With that said I really tried to get back on but every time I began I just fell off harder. It was becoming depressing because I knew I wanted to pray, read etc. but I just couldn’t

As time went on I began to notice changes in my attitude towards things

For example: If someone told me they were sick before I would straight up offer to pray for them, ready to heal them. However, in that low point my first resort would be “have you taken medicine”

I was thinking rah, I’m never getting back to where I was. Then something prompted me to look up Bible plans to do with our union with Christ and I found the only Bible plan and began to read it

Believer should have is that Christ is in you and You are in Christ

Christianity isn’t a set of rules you follow to enter into heaven and avoid hell. Christianity is the reality that you have become ONE with God. You’re LITERALLY a brand new creation & NOTHING can change that..

I began to deep that Holy Spirit was ministering to me showing me that we don’t read our Bibles, pray, watch sermons because we have to otherwise we’ll “lose our salvation” as some teach.

We do it because in doing so we learn and understand the person we are in, Christ...

And the new life we are partaking in.

Christ died & resurrected to give you NEW LIFE IN HIM. Joy, peace, love, kindness are all the things Christ paid to give us. Reading the Bible, praying etc. should be done so that you can understand your new life and thus LIVE from it...

This may be waffle to some but I felt led to post this

To anyone who may be feeling low in their walk with God; beating yourself up because you’re not praying or reading the Bible as much I just want you to know God isn’t upset with you or see you as less of a Christian...

In fact He wants you to know in that place more than ever than He is with you and will NEVER leave you under ANY circumstance. He just wants you to know and believe that and live knowing that He loves you unconditionally. So no matter how far you’ve fallen off your father, God...

is just ONE turn away with open arms ready to embrace you as if you never fell off

So start slow, maybe read 1 verse, pray for 5 mins, listen to Gospel whatever it is just take that ONE turn. And no matter what always remember Christ is IN YOU and you are IN CHRIST forever

Even me who posts thread after thread and answers loads of questions regarding Christ can fall off and become extremely low even though it may not look like it

I know many people have these moments and are maybe in them now so I hope this thread encourages you to keep going

Always remember God is only ONE turn away, waiting with open arms

Christ in you. You in Christ. Forever.
