Not constantly writing job applications? Here& #39;s a little thread about why I have incredibly low standards for people who interact with job applicants.

For the record, in this particular instance, I did not request individual feedback.
I am generally content with generic feedback regarding either successful or unsuccessful traits for the particular role& #39;s candidates. It& #39;s one document to the hundreds of people you turned away and gives them something to work on.
Surely it has nothing to do with the number of applications? When it comes to providing feedback it is actually about the number of feedback requests. If you tell me you& #39;ve had hundreds of feedback requests then absolutely don& #39;t give individual feedback.
So no I don& #39;t really understand. And if you sincerely wished me all the best you might consider giving me a single reason for rejection. I feel like that& #39;s something you can still send a mass email about.
The majority of rejections don& #39;t even have the courtesy to tell me if it was my experience, qualifications, application format, typo in my cover letter, underwhelming enthusiasm, location, or demographics which cost me an interview.
And don& #39;t even get me started on ghosting. There are jobs which ask for application materials to be sent to personal email addresses and then not even an & #39;application received& #39; email comes back.
My mum always said when she finished uni she printed fifty CVs and sent them out with success. Applicants are now asked to write individual cover letters and CVs each tailored precisely to the job and company. That& #39;s fair, I don& #39;t have to print them, and I spend the hours needed
But what happens after I have painstakingly done all of that? Where is the buy in on the other end? There are very few companies I still want to work for after being rejected by them, but it& #39;s possible for the opposite to be true. So please reconsider how you treat applicants
