State Govt had earlier decided to amend the Police Act to address the problem of cyber bullying & hate speech over social & digital spaces. But many have expressed concerns about it.The voices of dissent include people who support the LDF & many others who stand up for democracy.

We have decided not to implement the amended Kerala Police Act. Detailed discussions will be held in the Legislative Assembly and further steps will be taken only after hearing the views of all parties.

As a society, it is our responsibility to ensure that the dignity of the individual is not violated. We must also acknowledge that cyber bullying & hate speech are serious problems. Let's ensure that our digital and social spaces are safe spaces for all.
