Monday management stuff: Under pressure!

When you're under pressure as a leader, human nature is to retreat into your silo of comfort and safety, working with what you know.

The challenge for you is to do the opposite: When time is a problem, share more and listen more!

1/5
It sounds counterproductive to do more when under pressure, but it's not. You have your strengths, weaknesses, knowledge, skills and experiences.

So do others.

And undoubtedly some have ideas and risks you've missed.

Share with them and encourage them to share with you.

2/5
Share your positives, share your risks and issues (different things!), ask for help in finding solutions to your risks/issues. Freely offer help in interpreting your solutions to their context.

And they may do the same for you. Humans will return kindness with kindness.

3/5
MOST humans will respond well when asked for their expert opinion.

And to those who won't help? Wish them well and pass them over, but still keep sharing, it's the ethically right thing to do.

Get into the habit of sharing and you'll find it becomes easy quite quickly.

4/5
On a self-interest note, it's good for the soul to share and help others. It will lighten your burden by sharing that burden.

If you're feeling a bit down, help others, their gratitude might be just enough to get you over the hump.

Go on, give it a try!
