#Ayurveda thread based on knowledge which I have.
1. The key point is modern medicine wants to view ayurveda from their frame of mind. Modern medicine considers all human body as Same and expects, body should react similarly to each drug administered.
2. According to Ayurveda, every human has different prakruti, and it requires personalized treatment for the disease.
Its not like you take a ayurveda medicine and it will have similar effect on everyone, it works on tridosha theory.
3. Now point of discussion is why ayurvedic practitioner are allowed to do surgeries, it is a part of western medicine?
4. Answer is surgeries were performed during ancient times. Many procedures are clearly mentioned in ayurveda texts like Sushruta samhita.
Many modern instruments are inspired by instruments mentioned in samhita.
5. Infact many people from outside India, would come to see these surgical procedures like plastic surgeries, etc.
So how can people from allopathy claim that surgeries are their property?
6. Modern medicine claims that their drugs are well researched and tested with body, but after using it for years and studing there affects on body, they are withdrawn from market.. but know one talks about damage it does to the body.
7. Ayurvedic medicines are time tested for more than 5000+ years, so that's why people show belief in it. It's not like it doesn't have side effects, but it depends upon how you use it.
It's just like drinking water more than required is harmful for us!
8. And mind you, surgeries don't need the study of pharmacology.if medicine is from different pathy, it's fine if it's doing the work.. surgeries were performed using ayurvedic herbs only during ancient time.
Hope you get some knowledge from this thread.
