If you're going to be spending Christmas alone for the first time this year, I'm here to tell you it doesn't have to be bad. I've done a few Christmases either totally alone, or alone for the majority of the day, and I've enjoyed them. It's also my birthday.
Step back from all the things advertising tells us we should be doing, and spend the day enjoying what you do.

It's still Christmas if there's no matching Christmas jammies (god how I hate those Christmas morning pictures - I WILL judge you), or board games.
I usually can't go back up Notth because I work over xmas, but I try to go up in early Dec to try to catch as many family members as I can.

When I told my mum I couldn't go up this year she told me she didn't want me to try. She works in a shop & is terrified.
She's terrified that if she catches Covid she'll pass it on to one of her kids, or grandkids. Never mind her diabetes and heart issue.

She cried down the phone worried about it. She has to work and care for her disabled husband is they have enough money to live.
So maybe we could just stop with all those who are determined to break the rules and possibly kill their granny?

Plan a day you'll enjoy. You have charge of the remote, can choose what you eat, and can speak to family and friends online or on the phone.

Suck it up
