I see this happening a lot in the current discourse so I think we need a reminder.

*we do not compare race and racism to disability and ableism*

They are not the same thing.

Many people experience both. And those people *often* ask the rest of us to stop doing this.

Who can compare anti Black racism to ableism?

- people who experience both

Who should not do that?

- disabled people who aren't Black

(Well, anyone who isn't Black obvs. It's just always disabled ppl doing it because tbh abled ppl are rarely talking about ableism in the first place)

Y'all think it'll make people take ableism seriously, but it just minimizes the experiences of Black ppl (esp Black disabled ppl)
