Why Connie Springer is the blandest character in AOT; A Thread.
Connie has always been the comedic relief of the show, most like Sasha, with the exception that Sasha at least had some interesting personality traits. Many wonder at this point, why Connie is even still alive, whereas Sasha died.
It’s simple really; Sasha had a family, a lover and an adoptive sister she risked her life for. Her death was meant to be used as plot device, Connie’s death on the other hand wouldn’t have made any difference to the plot, just like his mere existence already doesn’t.
Sasha and Connie were both supposed to be comedic relief, yet the pre time-skip Sasha who was selfish enough not to want people to & #39;steal& #39; the food in the forest she lived in, risked her life saving a little girl. That’s what I call development. She was even supposed to die there
So where is Connie‘s development? Right, there is none. Our little Connor here was even irrational enough to try to feed a little boy to his mother. Too bad it failed though, because I’m sure Connie‘s mother was going to play a very important role in stopping Eren.
Can we talk about the foolish way he wanted to trick Falco though? Not very smart, but as expected of Connie. In an alternative Universe, he is probably the kind of dentist that cracks jokes to ease the scared kids.
Really? After saying this, he still went ahead and helped the people who were indirectly the cause on why her mother was titanised in the first place. He is so controversial and doesn’t make much sense.
He& #39;s not part of the main trio, he& #39;s not an extremely good or courageous soldier, he& #39;s not exceptionally good looking or charming. He doesn’t revoke heavy reactions. Isn‘t loved or hated. Most people are pretty neutral about him simply because he never does anything relevant.
He simply exists as one of the most average and bland characters the series has to offer, but I have to admit that Connie has a good sense of humor sometimes, and even though most of his jokes were cringe and horrible, some really made me cackle, especially this one!
