Sidney Powell did amazing work for Flynn, successfully keeping him from getting pardoned, or his case dismissed, with a flurry of frivolous motions to postpone his case until after Biden takes office.
Just astonishing advocacy, moving from straight probation to likely jail time. https://twitter.com/GenFlynn/status/1330671677211029506">https://twitter.com/GenFlynn/...

No sane lawyer who gave a shit about her client would try to keep him from getting pardoned so she could keep milking his case. https://www.cnn.com/2020/09/29/politics/flynn-trump-pardon-hearing/index.html">https://www.cnn.com/2020/09/2...
It was nuts to ask for a mandamus when the judge just wanted to hold a hearing. I know that a three-judge panel ruled for her initially, but that was also insane and seriously called their judgment into question.
She slowed the dismissal for months. https://www.lawfareblog.com/summary-en-banc-dc-circuit-denies-flynns-emergency-petition-writ-mandamus">https://www.lawfareblog.com/summary-e...

And then, and THEN, once the DC Circuit sent the case back, telling the judge to rule on it quickly (as in, hey, don& #39;t hold off until after the election), Sidney Powell filed an absolutely bananapants motion to recuse the judge based on his rulings (i.e. a thing you can& #39;t do).
Not only was that almost certain to delay the case, but it completely contradicted early, stupidly confident predictions that a boilerplate order from Judge Sullivan indicated he was secretly on her side. https://thehill.com/policy/national-security/374730-judicial-order-in-flynn-case-prompts-new-round-of-scrutiny">https://thehill.com/policy/na...
On top of all this, she badly bungled basic courtroom appearances, at one point telling Judge Sullivan about private conversations with the President, and then, weirdly, trying to claim executive privilege. https://www.lawfareblog.com/oral-argument-summary-us-v-flynn">https://www.lawfareblog.com/oral-argu...
At oral argument before the DC Circuit, she seemed unprepared for basic questions about why she had to have a mandamus instead of just letting the judge rule on the dismissal. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/dc-circuit-court-grills-lawyers-michael-flynn-case-dismissal">https://www.foxnews.com/politics/...
