Abuse mention///

I& #39;m talking with my sister about our dad and just his general toxicity... and just like...

I& #39;ll never forget telling him one night over dinner I really wish he hadn& #39;t hit the shit out of me so much growing up; rather he just explained... And he said-

-"Well you were just so smart it was the only way you understood."

HUH??????? I ended up leaving his house after that. But yeah. Ugh.

Anyway I& #39;m glad I& #39;ve moved out.

I still talk to both my parents despite the physical/verbal abuse, but my relationship is permanently ruined and scarred, and I feel such surges of jealousy when people talk about having supportive parents or parents they can talk to easily.
