OMAHA, NE - For the 3rd night in a row, @WeAreProBLAC has organized a protest outside OPD HQ to demand the release of the bodycam footage of the police killing of Kenneth Jones.

I'm heading down there shortly and will update this thread throughout the night.

Last night, 23 year old Roberto Carlos Silva killed two and wounded two in Bellevue, NE and was taken into custody "without incident."

Many activists are highlighting the disparity in police response to an arguably more volatile situation.

Why, they ask, was Kenneth Jones killed for apparently refusing to exit the backseat of a vehicle during a traffic stop, and Solva apprehended after allegedly murdering two people and setting a Uhaul trailor on fire outside a Sonic Drive-In?

Folks demand answers.

I spoke with a protester who was arrested last night who told me that she is known by name to the police, and that they kept asking why she had such hate for police while sitting in OPD HQ. She says that it "felt like they were targeting [her]" because of her heckling.

This same protester also confirmed that the other person arrested last night was associated with Kenneth Jones's family
